Migrants suffer in Europe’s cold snap

Thousands of migrants who have used the Balkan Route to seek asylum in Europe are now stranded in Serbia, and are suffering in horrendous living conditions as the temperature drops well below freezing. The International Society for Health and Human Rights (ISHHR) is particularly concerned for people suffering from health implications resulting from exposure to the extreme cold, including severe influenza and other respiratory complications.
